These days, affordable health care is a major issue.
Politicians want to solve it by taking money from everyone at different rates, then handing the money to insurance companies or pharmaceutical companies. Not only does this unevenly distribute who pays for it, but it subsidizes only those forms of health care currently recognized by the insurance industry and mainstream medicine.
This does not IMPROVE health freedom. It inhibits it. It means that people who prefer taking a natural approach to health care still have to pay into a system they don't believe in (or, as in my case, believe in only for emergency situations), and then have less money to spend on those approaches they believe in. This could mean less money for organic food, nutritional supplements, or alternative healing methods such as those that we provide.
Regardless of how the current health care crisis is eventually solved, right now, politicians and businesses are struggling with premiums that continue to soar every year (while the pharmaceutical industry remains the most profitable in the nation). And until the problem is fixed, people will continue struggling to find a health care option that works for them.
But we'd like to be that health care option.
We're not doctors, of course. And we don't service emergency situations. But we believe we offer outstanding options for both preventive and corrective health measures. So to combat the issue with insurance and make ourselves available to as many people as possible:
1) We package our services in ways that make regular visits very affordable.
2) We work on a sliding scale for those who show real need and real interest in our work.
This way, a person's income or insurance plan doesn't dictate whether they can afford to see us. So there is such thing as affordable health care (non-medical anyway). And we like to think that you've found it.
