Holistic healing involves any kind of healing that is good for the whole client -- that is, for her spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being. And when we speak of physical well-being, we're not only speaking of the denser physical body that we normally talk about, but also the quantum field, or biofield, of the body as well.
Any kind of method that helps someone to evolve spiritually would essentially be a form of spiritual healing; but more specifically, if there were any spiritual obstacles to one's evolution, removing those obstacles would distinctly represent a form of spiritual healing. Likewise, when we remove blockages to someone's mental or emotional development, we are healing them on those planes, and these are -- by definition -- all aspects of holistic healing.
On our holistic medicine page, we point out that holistic medicine (also called quantum medicine, energy medicine, and vibrational medicine) is anything ingested that works to correct the biofield. But of course there are other methods that attempt to correct the biofield as well. Those that are NOT ingested are still considered forms of quantum healing, but not quantum (or holistic) medicine. These can include Reiki, acupuncture, vibrational healing (which we provide with our Novalite 3000), gemstone therapy, meditation, prayer, and so on.
And of course anything that heals the dense physical body (from cells to tissues to organs) is considered an aspect of holistic healing. And generally speaking, healing on ANY of these levels affects the health of other levels, which is why health is truly "holistic" -- all aspects of a person are tied together with all other aspects.
An interesting note to this is that chemical drugs (pharmaceuticals) have a place in holistic healing, but we haven't included them above because they are NOT generally healthy for the body as a whole. Still, despite their potential for side effects, they can sometimes allow for healing to occur. If they were valuable to the client as a whole, and did not damage certain parts while helping others, they would probably be considered energy medicine in the sense that they act BELOW the lowest level of what we consider LIFE in the physical body. Cells are considered to be the smallest living things. Atoms and molecules are forms of energy acting together through chemical bonds.
At the Biophysics Center, we seek to take a truly holistic approach to health, which is why we intend to build a network of local, holistic healers that clients may wish to supplement our services with. We hope this will make our services even more valuable to our clients.
