The Biophysics Center

At the Biophysics Center, we believe that the light is shining on pharmaceutical drugs, and that people are recognizing them for what they are: short-term, often palliative solutions that seldom address the underlying cause of symptoms or disease. This doesn't mean that there is no place for them.

Doctors, for instance, recently used a famous pharmaceutical drug in an "off label" manner (prescribing it for something it wasn't intended for) and saved a premature baby's life. In another example, rest may sometimes be all the body needs to recover its health, and a pharmaceutical may diminish pain or other symptoms long enough for someone to get that rest. So again, there is a place for pharmaceutical drugs, but we believe that they are not the answer to disease.

Based on the biophysics theoretical model, disease of the physical body is often due to distortions in the quantum biofield, and as a result, it is this biofield that must be addressed to actually "cure" -- a point we believe is already clinically supported and that scientific studies will support before long.

Thus, when we're talking about holistic medicine, we're in fact talking about any substance a person takes (orally, through injection, etc.) that acts not on the chemical body but on the biofield. This distinguishing definition helps us to sort out what constitutes holistic medicine. Food is NOT considered holistic medicine, and depending on your view of herbs (whether they work chemically or on the quantum level), they may or may not fit the category.

Based on this definition, we can also see that Reiki, acupuncture, and similar methods for correcting the biofield but that are NOT ingested are NOT considered holistic medicine, but are certainly valid approaches to holistic healing.

Homeopathy, Infoceuticals, and perhaps essential oils, on the other hand, would all be considered forms of holistic medicine. And in fact, we could also refer to them as quantum medicine, energy medicine, or vibrational medicine, because all refer to the same approach to health.
